Service Description
Step into the pasture for a gentle, hands-on introduction to farm life. This 30-minute guided experience is designed to spark curiosity and create lasting memories for children and families alike. The Experience Your adventure begins with a cozy story time led by one of our animal caretakers. Surrounded by the quiet hum of the ranch, children will listen to a curated farm tale before meeting our famously friendly Babydoll Southdown sheep and lambs. After the story, every child receives a cup of specialty grain to pet and feed the sheep and their playful lambs. It’s a slow-paced, immersive way to connect with nature and experience the "soft-as-a-cloud" wool of our favorite pasture residents. Event Details • Cost: $10 per child • Duration: 30 minutes • Ages: Perfect for toddlers through elementary school-age children. • Included: Guided pasture access, story hour, and a dedicated cup of feed for every child. Good to Know • Parents are encouraged to join their children in the sheep pasture. Adult entry is complimentary, and no separate ticket is required for parents. • Check-In: Upon arrival, please step into the Tasting Room to check in with our team. We’ll get you squared away before directing your group to the pasture gate. • Timing: We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to ensure everyone is checked in and ready for the start of the story. • Attire: Please wear farm-friendly, closed-toe shoes or boots. Even on sunny days, the pasture can be soft! • Rain Policy: In the event of heavy rain or severe weather, sessions will be canceled for the safety of our guests and animals. If we cancel, you will receive a digital "Rain Check" (store credit) via email, which can be used for a future session or towards anything at Woolly Yak.
Cancellation Policy
The Yak-Back Credit: Our Cancellation Policy At Woolly Yak Ranch & Winery, the safety of our guests and the well-being of our animals are our top priorities. Because we are an outdoor, working ranch, there are times when Mother Nature or the needs of our livestock require us to adjust our plans. When We Cancel: If an event is cancelled due to rain, severe weather, or for the safety and care of our animals, we will notify you as soon as possible via email. The Yak-Back Credit: In place of a traditional refund, every ticket holder will receive a Yak-Back Credit (equal to what you paid) sent directly to their email. How to Use Your Credit: Your Yak-Back Credit never expires and is flexible for your next visit: • Book a Future Event: Use your credit to reschedule for a future Story Time or any other upcoming event on the ranch. • Shop the Ranch: Your credit can be applied toward anything else sold at Woolly Yak Ranch & Winery. Whether you’re stopping in for a visit or joining us for a different activity, the credit is yours to use across our entire shop. We appreciate your understanding in helping us keep our animals happy and our guests safe!
