  • BOOTH SET UP AND PARKING
    You may begin setting up your display as early as 7 a.m. each day. Feel free to leave your booth set up for the entire weekend; however, we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. There will be designated unloading areas located around the perimeter of the red pole barn for convenience, as well as parking assistants on hand to help direct and coordinate.
  • BOOTH SIZES & PRICES
    All booths are 10×10. Booth fees are $100.00 per booth per day. No tables or chairs are provided. Limited electrical outlets are available. If you need an outlet, please make a request in the comment section and we will do our best to accommodate you. We have a limited number of artisan spaces available in our red pole barn. These spots go quickly and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis depending on the date your application is submitted. Once the red pole barn is filled, additional artisan spaces will be located under the pole barn's attached lean-to, as well as on our grass lawn adjacent to the pole barn. We cannot guarantee that your space will be in any specific location, but if you have a preference, please list it in the comment section.
  • INSURANCE, SALES TAX, PERMIT HELP
    While Woolly Yak Ranch & Winery is not qualified to offer any business or tax advice, we encourage you to consult with an accountant or visit federal and state tax websites for more details on collecting sales tax, registering your business, etc. We are not responsible or liable for lost/stolen/damaged products. We recommend getting event insurance. Most homeowner policies allow this as an add on to a current policy. We do not require insurance.
  • HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE SELLERS
    We look at your application and social media channels to get a fully developed look at your products and business. We are looking for unique and creative products. We are accepting applications for handmade products. Also, we are looking for collectible, antique and vintage sellers. We are also accepting applications for high quality ethically sourced products. No (ready to eat) food sellers. No direct sales.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
    We reserve the right to cancel an event due to severe weather. If we need to cancel, we will refund your booth fee. If you cancel your participation, we are unable to provide a refund.
  • Do you permit drones?
    Due to safety considerations, we do not allow drones on our property.
  • What is your cancellation policy for a ticketed event or activity?
    We reserve the right to cancel any event or activity due to animal welfare or weather concerns. In the event we cancel, we will offer you a full refund or a future date reservation. In the event you are unable to attend an event or activity after you have purchased your ticket, we do not offer a refund or the right to reschedule.
  • Is your establishment kid-friendly?
    Absolutely! We welcome children at our ranch and even have a farm playground for their enjoyment. Please make sure your children are supervised by an adult while here.
  • Am I allowed to bring table décor to use at a picnic table?
    While we have no objections to tables being decorated with a tablecloth or other pretty items, please keep in mind that we have the following rule: No open flames, balloons, confetti, glitter, or other items that may be harmful to our animals or the environment.
  • Can I bring my pets to the ranch?
    No. Due to safety concerns for our farm animals as well as your family pet, we do not allow outside animals on the grounds. Service dogs are always welcome.
  • Do you host weddings?
    We are not a wedding venue and we do not host weddings.
  • Is smoking permitted?
    No. We do not allow smoking on our premises.
  • Do you accept reservations?
    We do not currently accept or require reservations.
  • Why Yaks?
    The first question that we are always asked is, “Why yaks?” Cute, cute, and did I mention cute! Yaks are very docile and friendly. They have a very light footprint on the environment since they don’t trample a pasture because their hooves are small and nimble. They will also eat about a third of what a cow will eat. Another great quality of a yak is their fiber. Yak fiber is as soft and warm as cashmere and as a garment, it can withstand getting wet. Although milking a yak requires skill, their milk contains a higher nutrient density and butter fat than domestic cow milk. It is well worth the effort to obtain.
  • Can I use Woolly Yak Ranch & Winery as I would a park?
    While we like to think our property rivals any public park, we are a privately-owned farm winery. While not required, if you do stop by to visit us, we ask that you consider supporting our business with a purchase. We offer many different refreshments, farm experiences, cool Woolly Yak items, and of course, our tasty wine!
  • Can I bring food or drinks?
    Outside food or drinks are not permitted. Please see our menu for food and beverage options here.
  • Are strollers, wheelchairs or electric scooters allowed?
    Certainly. Please keep in mind that our outdoor areas are mostly crushed stone, gravel, or grass, making most surfaces uneven. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs. If you have any concerns, please reach out to info@woollyyak.com or call us at 317-777-3422.
  • Can I bring food to feed the animals?
    Please do not feed our animals unless we provide the treats. Certain foods may be harmful to the health of our animals.
  • Can I bring a blanket and/or a chair?
    Yes. We have about 30 picnic tables that fill up fast so you are welcome to bring a blanket or chair to use on our lawn.
  • Are there admission or parking charges to visit the ranch?
    General admission and parking is always free. For more information and prices for specific activities click here.
  • Do you have food trucks on site?
    Yes. We have a food truck that offers delicious grilled cheese sandwiches along with a variety of additional food selections. Menu link.
